Lower School – Kindergarten to 4th Grade
Philosophy
The Lower School teaches young students to acquire strong academic skills, develop decision-making and problem-solving techniques, and to become citizens who are respectful of others and strive to make this world a better place.
Our Lower School program is based on a strong traditional, sequential curriculum offering appropriate enrichment and where needed. With two classes per grade level, Lakehill is able to offer a teacher-led, child-centered curriculum that builds a solid foundation for future success.
Students work both independently and cooperatively in pursuing an academic program that is challenging and motivating. The curriculum for Lower School progresses from developmental to more complex skills, leading to Middle and Upper School programs designed for college entrance. Competition for college entrance is a fact of life, and readiness for that competition begins with a firm grounding in the early school years. |
