Lakehill Annual Fund
Since 1971, Lakehill Preparatory School has provided a well-rounded education designed to foster in each and every student the discipline and confidence required to be thoroughly prepared for college and beyond. Established as an independent, college-preparatory school of outstanding quality and credentials in the Lakewood/East Dallas community, Lakehill has emerged as one of the truly great preparatory schools in Dallas.
To continue building on our tradition, we ask the Lakehill community to join with us each year by making a special gift to the Annual Fund. All too often we talk about the Annual Fund in vast generalizations and large overall goals. In the simplest of terms, it is the lifeline of the School.
A strong Annual Fund impacts each and every student, each and every day. It means that an extra computer workstation can be purchased, not after the next budget review, but the next day. It allows Lakehill to bring in pertinent speakers to discuss current topics and it strengthens our compensation package, which allows us to attract the brightest and most qualified faculty and staff. The Annual Fund allows us to be proactive in providing a unique and dynamic educational experience.
Nearly as important as the total amount raised is the participation of all parents. We ask that each family participate at a level that is appropriate. Gifts of $25, $50, and $100 are greatly appreciated and go a long way in helping us achieve our overall goals. Participation, at any level, demonstrates the strong commitment parents have to the Lakehill mission.

Parent Giving Volunteer
The Lakehill Annual Fund was created to serve as the main annual fundraising campaign for Lakehill Preparatory School and to secure funding so that every student can receive a challenging and well-rounded education. The Annual Fund provides unrestricted funding for every aspect of the school environment, including arts, athletics, technology, and much more.
As a Parent Giving Volunteer, you play a vital role in the success of Lakehill. Working with a strong leadership team consisting of alumni, parents, grandparents and Lakehill Prep staff, parent volunteers reach out to fellow parents for Annual Fund pledges/gifts. By making connections with families through phone, email, or at events, you help to secure funding and participation for the 2008-2009 Lakehill Annual Fund.
Being a Parent Giving Volunteer is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Lakehill parents and to make a real difference in your child’s school. Serving as a Parent Giving Volunteer is very convenient—make calls from home or send emails from wherever you are.
Parent Giving Volunteers are expected to:
- Lead by example. Make your gift to the Lakehill Annual Fund early in the year.
- Serve as a liaison between Lakehill and families within your grade assignment.
- With the assistance of the leadership team and development staff, solicit families within your grade assignment for campaign pledges/gifts.
- Encourage participation at any level. The goal for each class is 100% participation.
- Attend Lakehill Annual Fund meetings and provide the leadership team with feedback from your contacts.
- Have Fun! Enjoy getting to know other Lakehill parents.
